An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
